Making. It. Japin

This time last year I was getting back from our first trip to Japan. I love to travel but I had pre-conceived ideas of what I thought it would be like.

- Loud
- Bright
- Everyone in my personal bubble
- Filled with annoying anime characters

Well Japan you showed me. It was hands down the most special experience of my life. Japan and I now have a love affair that I feel will last forever, it is now my motherland. If you are thinking about going here is a breakdown of what you should expect.

Shinjuku (Tokyo)
You weren't loud, you were busy but it wasnt hustle and bustle it was more like constructive creativeness and organised chaos. Respectfulness, trains, and fashion is how I remember you.

Mt Fuji
You confirmed my fear of rollercoasters and hate for cues, and taught me just how essential thermals are as well as the importance of researching the temperatures of where you are going.

Hakuba (Snowboarding)
You humbled me and my lack of balance or leg strength to a four day brutal beating where I attempted to snowboard. But you have given me the drive and determination to train and get strong enough to give it another go. The small town and its people were just stunning, little restaurants in peoples homes and waking up to snow falling was amazing as well as discovering that you should always add baileys to your hot chocolate. The joy this place gave Dane filled me up and made all the bruises worth every second.

Nagano (Snow Monkeys)
With a blizzard and the flu you somehow warmed my heart with your monkeys that are most known for theft (funny story, but they actually are). A 1.6km hike in intense snow gave me the most incredible views that I will never forget. Not to mention the best Ramin and mulled wine to date. This probably rivalled Harry Potter for my favourite day and I can safely say I made a good life choice that day (Personal joke but Mardy will get it)

Kyoto City
We got literally and figuratively lost in you. It turns out that was easier to do on push bikes. What is not easy on a push bike is having your huge camera bag in the front basket and navigating the footpath and gutter. Long story short I went head over the handle bars in front of a bus load of people. I felt like they were all staring and sarcastically slow clapping at me. either way it was funny.

Osaka City
Well, Osaka had Harry Potter world at universal studios. I don't think I need to say more other than I conquered my fear of roller coasters and NO it wasn't worth it and NO I will NEVER do it again. EVER. But that is just another example of how Japan bought out the best in me.

Sorry this is so long but I don't think I could have done it in less, Japan now means so much to me and I don't think it can be described in any less of a way. All I can say is that I wish I had photographed more, hopefully the images below capture it enough. If you want more just book me a ticket and pay for everything and I'll head back and take some more for you lol.
